Service and operator
Service: StarsWithMe, a stargazing conditions service on the web and on iOS and Android. Operator: Saetbyeol Studio.

These terms apply to the stargazing score, destination pages, moon information, and the posting features described below, across every language and country version of the service.
Accepting these terms
Using StarsWithMe means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service.
Reading forecasts, destination information, and moon pages needs no account and no separate agreement.
Posting a review, a rating, a guestbook entry, or a photo means accepting these terms for that post. Those posting features are offered in the Korean-language service only at present, so the country and language pages you are reading now are read-only.
Anyone under 14, or under the minimum age set by the law that applies to them, needs a parent’s or guardian’s consent before posting.
Anonymous use without an account
There is no sign-up and no account. The first time you post, the server issues an anonymous identifier and a short public handle such as 익명#3f7a, and stores that identifier on the device you are using.
That identifier is what lets you delete your own posts, keeps ratings to one vote per person, hides an author you have blocked, and enforces usage restrictions. We never ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
Deleting the app or clearing browser storage erases the identifier, and after that you can no longer delete your earlier posts yourself. Email [email protected] with the destination, the approximate time of the post, and part of its text, and we will remove it for you.
Do not pass your identifier to anyone else, and do not obtain new identifiers repeatedly in order to escape a restriction.
Prohibited conduct
Insults, hate speech, and demeaning or discriminatory remarks based on sex, origin, disability, race, religion, or similar grounds.
Obscene content, sexual objectification, and material harmful to minors.
Posting another person’s name, contact details, address, vehicle plate, face, or other personal or private information without their consent.
Advertising, promotion, spam, and external links or contact details unrelated to the service.
Flooding the service with repeated posts, or posting in bulk by automated means.
Describing observing conditions or a destination falsely, in a way that misleads other people.
Impersonating another user, the operator, or a public authority.
Posting text or photos that infringe copyright, trademarks, or other people’s rights.
Interfering with normal operation of the service or circumventing its technical limits.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content
We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. Reported content is reviewed and removed, and its author can be blocked from the service.
Clear violations such as insults, contact details, and advertising copy can be caught by automatic filters before a post is ever published.
Photos are not public when they are uploaded. Each one stays pending until a moderator approves it, so the only photos other people see are photos a person has already reviewed.
Where a violation is serious or repeated, removal and a usage block take effect immediately and without prior notice.
Every post also carries a block control. Blocking hides that author from your own view at once, separately from reporting and without waiting for a moderator.
Reporting, review, and appeals
How to report: use the report control on the post and choose a reason — spam, abuse, privacy, or other. If you cannot use the control, email [email protected] with the destination, the time of the post, part of its text, and your reason.
Automatic hiding: once three different people report the same post it is hidden automatically, before a moderator has seen it, and is then removed or restored after review.
Review: we look at reports without undue delay and remove the content, keep it hidden, or block its author as needed. If you leave a contact address, we tell you the outcome.
Privacy and reputation claims: if a post exposes your personal information or damages your reputation, write to [email protected] with the location of the post, when it appeared, and what it says about you. Where a claim needs more than a quick check, we may keep the post hidden while we look into it.
Appeals: if you disagree with a removal, a hiding, or a usage block, email [email protected] with your reasons. We review the decision again and reply with the result.
Intellectual property
Copyright in a post stays with the person who wrote it or took the photograph.
By posting, you allow the operator to display and quote your post within the service and in material that introduces the service.
The StarsWithMe name, its interface, its scoring model, and its editorial text belong to the operator. Forecast and authority data belong to their sources and are used under those sources’ licences.
Posts that break these terms or the law, and posts that review finds must come down, can be removed without prior notice.
Disclaimer
The stargazing score is a forecast built from Open-Meteo weather data and astronomy calculations, and real conditions on site can differ.
Travelling to an observing site and staying safe there is your responsibility. Take particular care with mountain roads at night, sudden weather changes, and private land. Official warnings, closures, and notices from the road authorities remain the controlling sources.
The service is free, and part or all of it can stop for maintenance, faults, changes at a data source, or a change of policy.
Each author is responsible for what they post. The operator is responsible within the scope of the reporting and review process set out here.
Changes and effective date
Changes are announced on this page at least 7 days before they take effect, and at least 30 days ahead when a change works against users.
Continuing to use the service after that notice means accepting the revised terms.
The service is operated from the Republic of Korea and these terms are governed by Korean law, except where the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in gives you stronger protection.
